Overlapping also other thematic categories, the works I chose to display here are as abstract as anyone would perceive. Free from strict commitment to either figurative images or applied narrative, these developed with minimum planning, guided only by my organic sense of aesthetics. You are free to imagine whatever comes to your imagination, AND YOU WILL BE RIGHT. Isn't that cool?

Terpsichore-Goddess of Dance

Terpsichore, in Greek mythology, is one of the nine Muses, patron of lyric poetry and dancing. She is perhaps the most widely known of the Muses, her name having entered general English as the adjective “terpsichorean” (which means: “pertaining to dancing”).

While mostly abstract, this painting is inspired by the dynamic flow of the joy of dance, of exuberance of life and the creativity of performance and stage lights.

During what have been perceived by humanity one of the darkest periods of our current generation due to the profound impact of the global pandemic, we all have been reminded that nature, in fact, became significantly more free. The shutdowns of commerce, industry and international travel, cleared space and air for nature to blossom, pollution drastically reduced, and awareness rose. In this painting the organic colorful nonfigurative shapes overcome the non-organic black areas, to represent this sentiment.

We all must heed the call to respect nature.
